As long as there is poverty on this land,
There will be no safety, no security on hand.
How can you make the rich understand,
As they are locked up in wonderlands.
How can you make people understand,
That they should work together on this land.
How can you get people know,
Their interest is to love friend and foe.
How can you get the message to those,
Who are preoccupied to their nose,
How can you let people see,
The horror of life under siege.
Walls are built up, doors are locked up,
Chains are fastened, to the legs held up.
Sounds of beating, sounds of crying,
Waken the injured who are dying.
Some will shout out, some will rise up,
Some will write of what they think of.
Maybe one day, you will wake up.
And think of better ways to live on.
